Inspired by what is thought to be the world's oldest known soap - Aleppo Soap.
With medieval orgins, Aleppo soap is traditionally made in Aleppo, Syria by skilled artisans through an entirely hand powered process, using methods and close guarded secret receipes handed down from generation to generation,
I've paid homage to these traditions by hand crafting this soap using the two original ingredients of traditional Aleppo soap: Olive oil (extra virgin in our case) and Laural Berry fruit oil. Famed for it's ability to help relieve itching from eczema, acne and psoriasis. Laurel berry oil gives this soap its unique naturally smokey scent. Whilst the exact recipes are closely guarded secrets, it is rumoured that 40% is the highest percentage of Laurel Berry oil used and yields the most premium soap - I have kept to that percentage.
Uniquely, Aleppo Soap cures for a minimum of six months.
This bar is an extra mild soap which our soap alchemists recommend for sensitive skin types, dry skin conditions, can be used to wash your face and may help alleviate skin conditions such as acne, perioral dermatitis and psoriasis.

Handcrafted from 100% natural ingredients which we have sustainably and ethically sourced.
Our soap boxes are made from 100% recycled, FSC approved, uncoated cardpaper, which is then printed with linseed oil ink on 160 year old victorian press powered by hand labour.
During the soap making process, our alchemists use a traditional cold process manufacturing method which involves hand pouring and curing. Artisan soap bars are individually hand cut and trimmed. We use the off cuts in our sampling programme and the shavings from trimming gets re-used in making confetti soap for the Skin Alchemists Chances Programme.
We proudly boast a practically zero waste process and possibly negative carbon footprint.
