BRIGHTENING AND DETOXIFYING VITAMIN C MASK
Our Smooth Terrain Face Mask is packed with skin clarifying and brightening ingredients, that work together optimally to detoxify while soothing the skin. Three separate sources of vitamin C (Camu Camu, Rosehip extract and L-ascorbic acid) offer a gentle yet effective brightening boost as they are activated when the mask comes in contact with water. Because Vitamin C can be unstable in aqueous solutions over time, activating this superstar ingredient at the moment of use means that its most potent and active form is delivered to the skin, resulting in maximum effects at the cellular level. Kaolin and Rhassoul clays enrich the skin with nutrients and minerals while purifying and declogging, while colloidal oat and allantoin soothe and moisturize the skin, for a balanced treatment. Calendula, chamomile, rose, hydrangea leaf, and helichrysum flowers are infused into the mask and release their beneficial compounds as the mask is activated and applied to the skin.
The Ritual
Activate 1 tablespoon of the mask powder with warm water and mix to create a creamy paste. You can also use a hydrosol and/or your favorite face oil to create a more moisturizing mask. Apply a generous layer over the face, avoiding the eyes and lips. Allow the activated mask to draw our skin impurities for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Follow with a nourishing serum or moisturizer.

Chamomile: packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, chamomile helps soothe the skin, reducing redness and irritation.
Immortelle: shown to have skin regenerative and protective benefits, immortelle helps fight against environmental damage and promotes skin health.
Calendula: known for its soothing, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that promote skin healing and soothe irritations.
Hydrangea: hydrating and anti-aging. Active compounds found in the leaf have been shown to help improve wrinkles, hydration, skin elasticity, and skin texture.
Rose: deeply hydrating and soothing. Rose has astringent properties that help combat redness, and inflammation.
- Rhassoul clay: rich in magnesium, silica, potassium and calcium. This healing clay helps to draw out impurities and improve overall texture of the skin.
- Kaolin clay: a gentle and effective cleanser that draws out skin impurities and absorbs excess oil without stripping or over drying the skin. It also acts as a mild exfoliating agent to remove dead skin cells while detoxifying the skin.
- Arrowroot powder: A skin soothing agent that contains many beneficial minerals and vitamins such as zinc, iron, potassium, and Vitamin B6 to nourish the skin. Arrowroot powder has been traditionally used to calm skin irritations including rashes and acne. Due to its gentle properties, arrowroot powder is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
- Camu Camu powder: a powerful antioxidant rainforest plant that contains high levels of Vitamin C. Also high in niacin, camu camu is excellent for improving skin discoloration and fine lines and wrinkles.
- Rosehip extract: rich in vitamin C and other minerals and vitamins, including beta carotene, calcium, niacin, and vitamins A, B1, B2, E and K. Rosehip promotes skin elasticity and smoothness while nourishing and brightening the skin.
- Guava extract: rich in Vitamin A, B and C, guava extract helps to brighten skin and reverse the effects of environmental pollutants on the skin.
- Colloidal oat: a natural soothing and moisturizing agent, colloidal oatmeal delivers anti-inflammatory and calming effects to balance the purifying qualities of other ingredients.
- Allantoin: a soothing and protecting ingredients that helps the skin heal and regenerate.

Aloe Vera: renown for its anti-inflammatory and soothing benefits, aloe vera acts as a protective barrier on the skin. Aloe also contains Vitamins A, C and E, enzymes, amino acids and minerals to nourish the skin.
